Somerset Tourist Attractions
Cheddar Caves and Gorge has been a major tourist attraction for over 200 years, with plenty to do above and below ground. Within the length of the Gorge is a series of spectacular underground caves. Of significance is Gough Cave, rediscovered at the end of the 19th century by Richard Gough. Cheddar is also home to the famous Cheddar Man which is Britain's oldest complete skeleton.
