Founded by King Henry in the early 15th century, Hampton Court
is a castle on the meadows of the river Lugg. The castle is backed by a steep
wooded escarpment and surrounded by woodland and 1,000 acres of grounds.
Though Hampton Court is a private home, the extensive and spectacular
Van Kampen Gardens at Hampton Court are open to the public for much of
